Adam Martin Simon, born on April 16, 1950, in Reid, Austria, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Adam, the beloved son of Ethel and Peter Simon Sr., was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is predeceased by his dear sister and brother, Terry and Peter Jr., and leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be deeply missed.
For 59 wonderful years, Adam shared his life with his devoted wife, Irene, who was his partner in every sense of the word. Together, they built a life full of joy, raising three beautiful daughters, Jennifer, Katie, and Rebecca, and later welcoming seven adoring grandchildren: Arielle, Maria, Jasper, Nathan, Vincent, Lillian, and Addison. Adam took immense pride in his family, always finding time to spoil his grandchildren and create memories that would last generations.
Adam was a man of many passions, including skateboarding, gardening, photography, and artwork. He had an innate talent for bringing beauty into the world, whether through the lens of his camera, the strokes of his brush, or the vibrant blooms in his garden. But perhaps his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, where his warmth and welcoming spirit were always on full display.
Known for his readiness to assist anyone in need, Adam was a beacon of kindness in his community. He had an extraordinary ability to make friends quickly, treating each one as part of his extended family. His legendary crepes were a testament to his love for bringing people together over good food and laughter.
Among those who will fondly remember Adam is his close friend Joseph, who shared many adventures and cherished moments with him.
In accordance with Adam's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor his memory. The family extends a heartfelt message, "Hand in hand, by the edge of the sand, they danced by the light of the moon," capturing the spirit of Adam's love for life and those around him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests no donations, and to spend time with your loved ones. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
