Alburtus M. Fulkerson, age 88, passed away April 25, 2025.

He was born in Cleveland on May 4, 1936 to Albert and Elizabeth (Fix) Fulkerson.

Survivors include his children, Terry (Jeanie) Fulkerson, Ken (Kim) Fulkerson, Alan (Lisa) Fulkerson, Nancy (Brian) McCarthy and Julie (Jason) Neel; grandchildren, Shannon (Andrew) Smith, Kaitie (Brian) Newbrough, Mike Fulkerson, Ryan (Erin) McCarthy, Craig (Brianne) McCarthy, Jake (Autumn) Smith, and Hunter, Cooper and Teague Neel; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda (John) Curd.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 64 years, Alice; his parents; and his step-father, George Swaffield.

Al was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had served during the Korean War on the USS Corregidor. He was also an avid outdoorsman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W. 130th St., Brunswick. Interment will take place at Woodvale Cemetery, Middleburg Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
