Obituary

Allen F. Korfmacher, 77, of Medina, passed away September 9, 2009 in Medina. He was born October 27, 1931 in Johnstown, PA, the twin brother of Don.

Mr. Korfmacher was a tooling and die maker, industrial engineer. He retired from Stanley Tools in York, PA.

He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1950 and attended Fenn College (Cleveland State) College. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Korfmacher enjoyed reading, fishing, traveling and golfing. He was a talented woodcarver, a member of Gideon's International and Medina United Methodist Church.

He served in the U.S. Army in Germany

Ronald (Julie) Korfmacher, son, of Upland, IN

Sara (Justin), Hannah, Benjamin, Rachel, Daniel and Samuel

Don (Sharon) Korfmacher, twin-brother, of Berea, OH

Walter (Arlene) Korfmacher, brother, of St. Joe, MI

Numerous nieces and nephews

Preceded by his parents William and Martha (nee Kuhne) Korfmacher, sister Ruth Hartwig (nee Korfmacher) and Helga Shelep (nee Korfmacher)

Services: Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

Place: Medina United Methodist Church, 260 S. Court St., Medina

Officiating: Dr. David Tennant

Burial: Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 1195 North Ridge Road, West, Lorain, OH

Visitation: 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009

Place: Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St.
