Obituary

Amanda Mae Miller Boutton passed away after a prolonged battle with depression on April 4, 2023, at the age of 30. She will be remembered as she lived - passionately, with determination and a quick wit.

On July 29, 1992, Jeff and Robin Miller welcomed Amanda, and a few years later, Amanda helped them welcome her little brother, JB. Throughout her youth, Amanda loved reading, caring for animals, and spending summer days swimming at the pond on her family's farm. When she was thirteen, Amanda started dating Chris Boutton, the love of her life, and they have been together ever since. They were married in 2015 and share their home with four fantastic dogs, Milo, Macey, Maya, and Mogli, and two curious cats, Roon and Edgar. Amanda was a remarkable student and earned both her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Akron. At the time of her tragic death, Amanda was a practicing attorney in Cleveland, Ohio.

It is impossible to put an entire life, all of Amanda, into a few sentences, and words alone cannot adequately describe the depth of her love, the far reaches of her thoughtfulness, the sound of her laugh, or the width of her smile. Those who loved her most will miss her ability to know just when a good joke is needed to brighten the mood, when to offer a warm hug on a cloudy day, when to share a comforting snack to lift a spirit, and when to send a gift that whispered "I'm always thinking of you." Amanda will be desperately missed by so many - her family, coworkers, and many friends, especially Tiffany and Marian, who were her chosen sisters, three souls who found each other and felt at home.

We believe Amanda's journey continues in places we cannot yet see. Wherever she has gone, we hope she's enjoying a hike in the mountains, singing at the top of her lungs at a concert, or reading Harry Potter in the sun while surrounded by beautiful plants and singing birds. Remember her fondly.
