Obituary

Andrew DePaolo, 93, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2020 at his home in Brunswick, Ohio. He was born in Greensburg, PA, and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed as a sheet-metal worker for over 50 years. Andy was a member of the Brunswick Jaycee's and a lifetime member and past commander of the American Legion Post #234. He served as a constable for the Brunswick Hills Police Department and also as a funeral attendant for Waite & Son Funeral Home in Brunswick, Ohio. Along with Andy's love for his family, he also enjoyed traveling for gambling trips. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Vivian (nee DeJean), of 72 years; children, Sharan (Phil) Nawalanic, Andy Jr. (Ginger), Danny (Carol) and Steven; grandchildren, Wendy, Trisha, Crystal, Danica, Deidra, Stevie Marie, Angela, Stephanie and Jennifer; 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and his sister, Ann DePaolo. Andy is preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Cam, granddaughter, Danette Sigmon and brother, Joe. Private family services will be held and inurnment will take place on a later date at Ohio Western National Reserve Cemetery in Seville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #234, PO Box 972. Brunswick, OH 44212.
