Angelo Lesti  January 23, 1936 - March 3, 2025.

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

Angelo Lesti was welcomed through the gates of heaven on March 3, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by family and a world of love. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 23, 1936, he served in the U.S. Army and spent most of his career as an engineer with General Motors (Terex and Powertrain Divisions). But Angelo was defined not by his profession, but by his character. He was a caring son and brother, a devoted and loving husband, a wise, gentle father and grandfather whose enduring love and support made us believe we could do anything, a welcoming and generous friend. Angelo had a joyful enthusiasm for life, greeting each day with optimism, gratitude and determination, and encouraging us to do the same.

Angelo will be remembered as the King of emoji's, the Commander-in-chief of post-it notes and a Master revivalist of sewing machines, both foreign and domestic. He frequently left us with a "God bless you," "deeply appreciated" or a "love you mucho."

He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate Paula; his three daughters, Christine Verespej, Michelle (Bobby) Watterson and Susan (Daniel) Farris; stepchildren, Scott (Kim) Corp and Susan Ashley; adoring grandchildren Joseph and Sarah Verespej, Ben (Joie) and Grace Watterson; and so many friends, colleagues and neighbors blessed to have known him.

Preceded in death by parents Sebastian and Emma (Tiffe) Lesti, sister Dolores Johnson and stepson Ryan Corp.

The Lesti family would like to thank the devoted doctors, nurses and care technicians at Cleveland Clinic - Medina Hospital (2 North) as well as the hospice and palliative care team who cared for all of us in Dad's final days. "Angelo, you are special."

God Bless You, Angelo. Although you are gone, your light will live in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever." Revelation 21:4

The family is planning a celebration of Angelo's life for later this year. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
