Anna Howard

Anna Elisabeth Howard, age 66, of Medina, passed away on April 12, 2026. She was born in Bamberg, Germany, on October 27, 1959, to the late Johann and Maria (Stoehr) Berner. Anna was a talented artist. She was an avid doll collector and her artistic ability allowed her to customize or “reborn” many of them. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family. 

Anna is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, John R. Howard; loving children her daughter Sarah Hreha and son James Howard; sisters Martha Spurny (Herbert Spurny), Franziska Silvera (Darryl Silvera) and Barbara Scholz (Helmut Scholz); brothers Hermann Berner (Sigrid Berner) and Karl Berner; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins here and abroad; and her companions -her dog Ringo and her cats Naiyah and Lilly. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Karl Berner. A Celebration of Anna’s Life will be held at the chapel of Spring Grove Cemetery, 785 East Washington Street, Medina, Ohio on Saturday July 25th at 1:00pm.
