Obituary

Anthony Dardzinski, a beloved husband, brother, father, and dedicated fan of Cleveland sports, passed away peacefully at the age of 72 in Chippewa Lake, Ohio on April 19th. Colleen, his wife of 39 years, was faithfully by his side showcasing love and support for her husband. Anthony absolutely adored his wife and when he became sick Colleen demonstrated patience, care and compassion, and incredible endurance.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Anthony had a passion for sports from a young age. He loved football and basketball. He achieved a football scholarship and attended Ohio Wesleyan University, where he developed a love for the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops and continued to cheer them on throughout his life.

After college, Anthony returned to Cleveland and became a teacher, coach, and eventually worked for 30 plus years at General Motors. He was also a dedicated supporter of Cleveland's professional sports teams. He was a loyal fan of the Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians, and never missed an opportunity to watch them on TV. He also loved gameshows, especially Jeopardy, which he watched every day until he passed.

In addition to his love of sports, Anthony had a passion for reading Clive Cussler novels and building model airplanes and ships.

Anthony was a devoted father to his four children, Douglas, Aaron, Jonathon, and Michelle, and he really tried to provide love, guidance, and support throughout their lives. He instilled in them a love of sports, such as football and wrestling, which they will always carry with them.

Anthony also had three grandchildren, Ava, Jenevieve, and Elijah whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind his sister, Judy and brother, Jerry.

Anthony will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for Cleveland sports.
