Arlene M. Planicka, age 84, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on August 1, 2026. Born on May 17, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, Arlene was the daughter of the late Clayton and Josephine Moorman.

Arlene devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known as the "Silly Grandma," and loved creating memories, like her famous 2 am Taco Bell runs. She truly had a gift for making every gathering memorable and was the glue that held her family together.

She is survived by her loving sons, Tony (Laura) and Mike (Lori); her beloved grandchildren, Lyndsey (Brian), Brooke (Luis), Victoria (Brenden), Nick (Ivy), AJ (Sydney), Kayley (Scott), Taylor, Kate, Melanie, and Kaden; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Kensi, Savannah, Makenna, Landon, Stevie, Koen, Bryce, Carter, and Penelope.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Anton J. Planicka; her parents, Clayton and Josephine Moorman; and her siblings, Robert, Clayton, Lawrence, James, Patricia, and Joann.

The family will welcome guests from 10:00 to 11:00 on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio, with a service beginning at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Anton, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
