Arlene M. Zeleny passed away on April 17th, 2025, at 11:39pm with her daughter by her side. Arlene was preceded in her death by her parents Eleanor and James Dooling, her husband John, her sisters Kathleen and Joanne, her brother James, her son Michael, and her grandson Tyler. Arlene, mother of 10; Michael, Margaret (Jo), Jeanne, Deanna (Guido), John (Lori), Robert (Pamela), James (Kimberly), Michelle (Jason), Jerome (Amy), and Patrice (Anthony). Grandmother to 31 and Great Grandmother to 25 and Great, Great Grandmother to 2. She was sister to Kathleen, Anita, Rosemary, Joanne, James, David, MaryEllen, and Richard.

Arlene and John owned a couple businesses, including: "The Toy Shop" and a Dairy Queen and Brazier. Arlene worked and retired from KeyCorp in 1989 and post-retirement continued to work selling Mary Kay makeup and as a realtor for Smythe Cramer/Howard Hanna. Arlene additionally filled her time by becoming President to St. Charles Senior Club and The Ladies Guild. She was also a Lector and Eucharistic Minister for St. John Neuman, St. Charles Borromeo, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Arlene lived most of her life in the Cleveland Metropolitan area but enjoyed additional residences in Fountain Hills, Arizona; Houston, Texas, and her final years in Cincinnati Ohio. Arlene loved houses and lived in over 26 of them throughout her adult life.

The visitation will take place on Monday, April 28th, from 11-1 followed by a prayer and funeral service for family and friends at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212. Her final resting place will be by her husband, John, at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, 2869 Grafton Rd, Brunswick OH 44212.
