Bernice Elaine Few, 96, of Medina, was greeted in Heaven by her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 3, 2026. She now joins her late husband, Daryl Oliver. Born on September 2, 1930, Bernice was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
A lifelong resident of Medina, Bernice was the cherished daughter of the late Ahner and Pauline (Hopkins) Koehler. She dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying the spirit of service and compassion that defined her existence. She was an active member of Youngs Corner Fellowship Baptist Church, where her passion for teaching the Bible to children and participating in the Ladies Missionary Group brought joy to many. Her kindness extended beyond the church, as she played a significant role in the Society for Handicapped Citizens of Medina County, supporting families like her own, particularly after the loss of her son Keith in 2009. In her earlier years, Bernice and her late husband, Daryl Oliver, who predeceased her in 2021, enjoyed camping adventures with their two sons, creating cherished memories that their family will hold dear forever. Bernice is survived by her son, Dennis Few, and daughter-in-law, Sue Anne; her grandchildren, Ryan (Heather) Few, Nicole (Alex) Ashbrook, and Kristine (Zach) Harris; and her great-grandchildren, Raylee, Oliver, and Charlotte. She shared a deep bond with each of her family members, who will carry her spirit forward. Court Street, Medina, OH 44256, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, where a Celebration of Bernice's life will commence at 1:00 PM. She will be interned next to her husband at Spring Grove Cemetery.
