Billy Ray McComas, 89, of Brunswick, passed away February 22, 2025.

He was born in Lincoln Co., West Virginia on September 29, 1935 to Albert and Georgie (Stephens) McComas.

Billy is survived by his children, Kevin (Barbara) McComas and Amy (Craig) Cameron; grandchildren, Shane (Kayla) Cameron, Taylor Cameron, Sara (fiancé Jake) McComas and Logan McComas; a sister, Lois (Les); siblings-in-law, Judith (Gene) Peyton, Anita (Randall) Semrau, and LaDonna "Alice" Lowe; dear friends, Ann and Doug Chambers; many nieces and nephews; his Grace Baptist Church family; and his faithful canine companion, Zach.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 57 years, Janet; his parents; and siblings, Bobby, James and Ruth.

Billy retired as a railroad conductor after 30 years of service. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Brunswick. Billy enjoyed golfing, gardening, puzzles, and was a fan of Cleveland sports.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd., Brunswick. Visitation will also be held from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
