September 1, 1955 – April 4, 2025
Brian Hal Semon, age 69, passed away April 4, 2025, in Bath Ohio. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Richard and Fay Semon.
Brian worked many years for the Hausted Company in Medina before working for 20 years for the Department of Homeland Security as a TSA agent. During this time, he was a volunteer firefighter with the Bath Fire Department. Upon retirement, he worked with FEMA as a reservist, traveling to many disasters. He enjoyed taking care of his chickens, visiting his daughter in Cincinnati, and helping neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie; his daughter, Brianna; his son, Jason; his grandson, John; his brothers Richard (Dawn), Michael; his sister, Holly (Tim) Arborgast; his nieces and nephews, Heather, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Kelsey, Casey, Christian, Nicole, James, and Josh, his aunt, Delores and many cousins.
Preceding Brian in death are his parents and son Eric.
Brian had a great love of Christ and was baptized at Grace Church. Brian never left a room without sharing one of his many 'dad jokes' to random strangers.
Brian's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, with a Visitation from 4:00 to 5:30 pm and Brian's Service from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Grace Church (Bath Campus), 754 Ghent Rd, Fairlawn, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to Grace Church 211 N. Cleveland Massillon Rd, Akron, OH 44333 or Down Syndrome Association of NE Ohio 6533-B Brecksville Rd, Independence, Ohio 44131 (dsaneo.org) Online condolences may be left for the family at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
