Obituary

Carl E. Ware, 92 of Medina, went home to be with his loving Savior on Friday, October 3, 2025.  Carl was born on October 8, 1932, in Centralia, West Virginia to the late Elliott and Louvernia (Gibson) Ware.

Carl served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a proud veteran. He retired from General Motors in Parma in 1989.

In 1965 Carl married the love of his life, Mabel (Arthur) Ware, and they were married for over 60 years.  She was a devoted wife that took loving care of him until Jesus took him home.

He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was a wonderful Christian and leaves a legacy behind that we all should follow.  He loved Jesus, his family and he prayed daily-Carl fed those that hungered and helped those less fortunate than him. He believed you don't lay up your riches here on earth, but in Heaven.

His nephew said it best- Carl is "The Benchmark".  Every man should be the husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend that he was. We believe that when he entered Heaven Jesus showed him the lives he has touched and said "Well done, thou good and faithful servant".

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Mabel; children Geno Ware (Andrea) of Valley City, Bill Ware of Medina and Jennifer Mosier (Mark) of Lodi; grandchildren Mike Mosier (Rebecca), Hunter Mosier, Katie Ware, Peyton Ware, Mia Ware and Preston Ware; great-grandchildren Adelynn and Myles Mosier; sister Pauline Hosey of Medina; and several loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Mabel Belknap, Orpha Mae Mace and Mildred Ware; and cherished nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the "Angels" at JAG in Burbank.  And although it was only for a short time, thank you to the nurses from hospice.

The family will receive friends from 10:30am-12:30 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, Ohio 44256.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:30 pm at the funeral home on Friday.  He will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Life Care Hospice.  Please feel free to dress casual, that was Carl's wish.
