Carla S. Thomas, age 73, passed away November 1, 2021.  She was born on July 31, 1948 to the late Carl and Violet (nee Bosley) Thomas and was a life long resident of Chippewa Lake, Ohio.

Carla worked in the education field starting as a first grade teacher at Cloverleaf Elementary School, then as a consultant at the Medina county education office and finally as the principal at Litchfield Elementary School. She was highly respected and loved by her peers, employees, parents and students.  She retired in 2001 after over 30 years of service.  She was a devout Christian and a member of The Chapel in Akron. Carla loved to spend winters in Myrtle Beach and had a host of great friends there.

Carla is survived by her extended family that were very dear to her heart; her cousins Sandy (Larry) Reeves, Tom Herman, and the late Donna Sontos; their children Melissa (David) Croy, Kimberly Reeves, Jennifer Herman, Renee Morgan, and Marie Stover; her great-great cousins Suzanne and Jonathan Stover and Eli Croy; and a lifetime of collected friends.

The family will receive friends from 2-5:00 pm on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, 44256.  A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 8, at the funeral home.   Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.

In lieu of flowers, contribution's may be made in Carla's memory to The Chapel, Haven of Rest Ministries or Burnham Ministries International.
