Carolina M. Welling, age 100, passed away August 30, 2024, in Medina, Ohio. She was born July 20, 1924, in Layton, Pennsylvania, to the late Camillo and Francesca (nee Orsini) Mellotti.

Carolina raised seven children (three sons and four daughters). Her family meant everything to her, and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Her legacy will live on in her children, Donna, Norman, Eleanor, Dennis, Darlene and Connie; her seventeen grandchildren; and too many great-grandchildren to count. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; and her son, Ronald.

The family will welcome guests from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Services will follow in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, and she will be laid to rest at Mount Washington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Carolina's name to the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Medina County.
