Carolyn Ann Cassidy, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on January 11, 2026. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Arthur E. and Dorothy Mooney, Carolyn was a woman defined by her deep devotion to her family and her vibrant spirit.

Carolyn was the beloved wife of the late William John Cassidy, and together they built a life centered on love and community. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Richard Cassidy, in 2024.

Carolyn, affectionately known to many as "Wanie," was a woman defined by her deep devotion to her family and her unwavering Catholic faith. Wanie opened her heart and home to everyone she met, living her faith through acts of endless love and compassion.

A passionate sports fan, Carolyn could always be found cheering on her favorite teams, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. Her enthusiasm for her teams was only matched by her love for her large, close-knit family.

She is survived by her five children: Timothy Cassidy (Tina), John Cassidy (Beth), Michael Cassidy (Ann Marie), Carolyn Arehart (Andy), and Kate Feeks (Jim). Carolyn was the cherished grandmother of Jane Bokar (Jake Bokar), Patrick Cassidy (Lydia), Anne Kathleen Cassidy, Emily Cassidy, Ryan Cassidy, Kathryn Cassidy, Lauren Cassidy, Abby Cassidy, Kristine Cassidy, the late Mary Francis, Andrew Arehart Jr., Jack Arehart, Matthew Arehart (Abby), James Feeks IV, and William Feeks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Carolyn was the loving sister of Lawrence Mooney and Sr. Martha Mooney. She was preceded in death by her siblings, the late Bernard Mooney and the late Jane (Mooney) Sweeney.

Visiting hours will be held at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Carolyn at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, located at 606 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256. A committal service will immediately follow at St. Francis Church Cemetery.
