Obituary

Charles "Chuck" P. Masi passed away peacefully in his home on June 13, 2025, after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born on August 25, 1933, to the late Harriet and Sam Masi. Chuck was a Medina resident his entire life. He graduated from Medina High School class of 1951. He played in many sports and was very proud of being named the Most Valuable Player in the Southwest Conference by the Cleveland Press. He went on to play 2 years of football at Wooster College before being deployed to Korea as a high-speed radio operator for the Army Security Agency. During the 1970's he served as a councilman-at-large for Medina and also was the president of Medina Band Parents Association. He was a gifted salesman and owned several ServiceMaster Franchises. After he retired he worked for 15 years at Bunker Hill as a starter which was his favorite job.

Chuck was a lifetime member of Medina United Church of Christ, Congregational, a former member of both the Medina Lions Club and morning Kiwanis Group. He was an avid golfer, reader, and bird watcher. He also loved to travel, especially many trips to Las Vegas and London, England. Chuck had a lifelong passion for sports and was a loyal fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Nancy (Sheerlien) Masi; his two beloved sons, Vincent Masi of Texas and Samuel (Roberta) Masi of Medina; and his cherished grandchildren, Steven Reed, Kathryn Reed Ward, Samantha and Jacob Masi and his son-in-law, Steven Reed.

Chuck was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne (Masi) Reed; parents, Harriet and Sam Masi, his brother, Teddy Masi, and daughter in law, Vickie Masi.

Cremation has taken place per Chuck's wishes and a Graveside Service will be held at a future date. Details will be updated on the funeral home website below.
