Charles B. "Charlie" Richards, age 80,  passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 20, 2026.  Charlie was born on May 25, 1945 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Shirley and David Richards.  He studied at the University of Rhode Island and went on to have a successful career in pharmaceutical sales.  Charlie was also a member of the Rhode Island National Guard.

Charlie was a devoted husband to Kathleen (Fay) Richards and had just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2026.

He was the loving father to his two beautiful daughters Brenda Smith (Brian) and Kara Wille and the proud Papa of three treasured grandchildren, Jack Brendan, Katherine Fay, and Matthew Joseph Smith.  They were the absolute light of his life!

Charlie enjoyed community theater, playing pickleball, and watching his beloved Red Sox and Celtics. He was an avid car enthusiast, loved traveling, and spending summers by the Rhode Island ocean.  Above all, he loved cheering on the "Grands" at their soccer games.  Charlie would always be early so he had the best seat at midfield.

Preceded in death by infant daughter Mary, his parents, three brothers, and one sister, and dear sister-in-law Brenda Fay.  Charlie is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, Noon-2:30pm at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court St. Medina, Ohio with a service at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of Medina, St Francis Xavier and Western Reserve Hospice of Medina County (Reserve Care).
