Clyde Eugene Calvert, age 78, passed away on August 13, 2024, in Brunswick, Ohio. He was born on October 21, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Raymond and Dorthea (Quati) Calvert.  Clyde was a fun loving, kindhearted, and always had a huge smile. He had the gift of making you feel like you were the most important person in the world. He met and married his junior high school sweetheart, Linda Squire and together they raised their wonderful family.  Clyde loved the outdoors and any activity you could do there. He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed camping, hunting, 4-wheeling, and gardening. He was a life member of the former Litchfield United Church of Christ and belonged to the Short Creek Sportsman's Club. Family was the most important thing to Clyde. He was front and center for every family gathering, or activity that either his children or his granddaughter had. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, we will all remember him and follow his advice to 'Take it easy…' he will be greatly missed.

Clyde is survived by his daughter, Aimee (Todd) Herrick; son, Aaron (Summer) Calvert; his beloved grandchildren, Rumble and Toula Calvert, and Mackenzie Herrick; his sister, Cindy (Bob) Weigle; his sister-in-law, Sandy Calvert; many nieces and nephews and a lifetime of collected friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Linda (Squire) Calvert, his parents; his sister, Corrine (Bill) Wagner; his brother, Charles Calvert; and his mother-in-law, Eloise Squire.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024 , from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256 followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
