Clyde Cardwell Kincaid
June 28, 1940 – February 4, 2022

Clyde Kincaid, 81, of Lorain, OH, died Friday, February 4, 2022 at Lodi Hospital.

Clyde was born on June 28, 1940 in Kincaid, West Virginia to Clyde Kincaid Sr. and Lina (Harrah) Vest. He was a graduate of Leroy High School in 1958, and earned his undergraduate degree from West Virginia Tech and his graduate degree from the University of Akron.

Clyde taught English at Brunswick High School for 30 years. He coached 9 ^th grade football and the girls track team, which repeatedly went to State and received numerous awards under his guidance. He was inducted to both the Academic and Athletic Hall of Fame for Brunswick. He also drove bus for athletic events. His earliest coaching assignment though was for basketball in Page, West Virginia in the early 1960's. Additionally, he worked in the body shop at Leohr's in Chippewa Lake at night and during the summer.

Clyde enjoyed golfing, attending flea markets, and classic car cruise ins. He was also a collector of many items. He was a Mopar enthusiast and a Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs fan. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at the Lake in Chippewa.

Clyde will be deeply missed by his wife, Joanne (Zick) Kincaid; his daughters Kathy (Jim) Baughman, Kimberly (Mark) Anderson; his sons, John (Samantha) Kincaid, Mark Kincaid; his grandchildren, Brittany, Adrea (Joe), Hannah, John Jr., Sophia, Lily, and his great-grandson, Caiden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Deloris Fox and Nancy Corp.

Friends of Clyde's may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 12 noon on Friday, February 11, at the funeral home. Interment at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
