Cynthia L. Hummel, 37, of Medina, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2012, and into the loving and healing hands of the Lord.
A lifelong resident of Medina County, Cynthia was a graduate of Medina High School, class of 1993, and later graduated from the University of Akron. It was during her high school tenure that she met a young man whom she married, who shared her values of faith, family, love and kindness. Those values drove her to pursue and wholly embrace a career of devotion to her family. Forever a dedicated and devoted wife and mother, Cynthia relished the time spent with her family and friends, especially every moment with her boys. She was most proud of her three sons, the light of her life, whom she loved, adored and instilled within each of them the values she held most dear. Her legacy is, and always will be, her sons, within whom she will always remain. Cynthia, with her bright smile, enthusiasm for life and unconditional love, will be warmly remembered, but forever missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Stephen; her beloved sons, Henry, Case and Seth; her parents, William and Jacqueline Miller; her siblings, Deborah Miller, Troy Marshal (Pam), Denise Mirtich (Jim), Gary Miller, Elliot Miller (Nichole) and Matthew Miller (Marie); her parents-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Hummel; her sister-in-law, Megan Hummel; many wonderful nieces and nephews as well as her loving and supportive Granger United Methodist Church family.
Cynthia's family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Granger United Methodist Church with internment to follow at Granger Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Granger United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, Attn: Honor & Memorial Gifts, PO Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN, 56007-9976.
