Daniel Lee Imus

Daniel Lee Imus, 60, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on October 4, 2026. He was born on December 18, 1965, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, to Leroy and Nancy (King) Imus. Dan graduated from Farmington Hills High School before attending Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy, Ohio. He went on to spend more than 30 years in the welding industry, most recently with Elco Enterprises (Wire Wizard).

Dan had a deep love for nature and the simple joys of life. Whether he was hunting, fishing, bird watching, collecting rocks and polishing them, camping, admiring classic cars, or simply enjoying the outdoors, he found happiness in the things he loved. His special appreciation for trees and animals earned him the affectionate nickname “Nature Dan” — a name that suited him perfectly. He had a way of noticing the little things in life and appreciating the beauty in the world around him. Dan will be remembered for his integrity, kind heart, and genuine appreciation for life. He had a special way of connecting with the people around him, and those who knew him will never forget. Though he will be deeply missed, the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who loved him.

Above all, Dan's greatest joy was his family. He treasured the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. Whether making memories together or simply enjoying time in one another's company, those moments meant the world to him. His family was his greatest source of pride, and the love he had for them will continue to live on through the memories they share.

Dan often thought about the legacy he would leave behind. Now, in his passing, it has become clear that the answer was there all along. His legacy is not measured by what he accumulated or what he accomplished, but by the lives he touched, the love he gave, and the family he built. It lives on in his wife, his children, and grandchildren, in the values he passed down, and in the memories that will be shared for generations to come. Long after the details of a life are forgotten, the way a person made others feel, the lessons they taught, and the love they left behind endure. Perhaps Dan's greatest legacy is one he could never fully see for himself: the lasting impact of his life on the people who loved him most.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Denise (Vanuch) Imus; his children, Daniel (Kayli) Imus, Samantha (Stephen) Saenz and Chelsea (Donald) Greenleaf; his stepchildren, Kaleb (Kate) Jones and Brendon (Ally) Jones; his grandchildren, Oliver Imus, Luke Saenz, Everly Imus, Quinn and Brielle Saenz, Rhett and Dawson Greenleaf, Terra Jones and Axel Jones; his siblings Sherry (Samuel) Carnell, Susan (James) Shelton and Patrick (Jodi) Imus; his mother, Nancy Imus; and his uncle Paul (Brenda) King, Art King and Dave King.

He was preceded in death by his father Leroy Imus.
