David L. Barco, age 86, of Medina, passed away October 8th, 2022. He was born June 26th, 1936 to John and Lois Barco in Rocky River, Ohio. David graduated in 1955 from Rocky River High School and continued his education at The Ohio State University graduating from the college of agriculture:greenhouse production. David served in the Air Force and the Air National Guard after graduating college. In 1963 David married Vera (Lynn) Roys at the Rocky River Methodist Church. David and Lynn had two children together: Carolyn and James. They were married for 59 years. David and his brothers operated the Barco family greenhouse, which moved from Rocky River to York Township in 1966 where they continued the business of flower production. He was an active member of the Ohio State Florist Association, the Farm Bureau, The Ohio State Extension Board, a volunteer at Medina Hospital, and the planning board for the Medina County Career Center. David is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Arthur and Willard Barco, sister Doris Barco (Black). He is survived by his wife; Lynn Barco, children; Carolyn (Don) Van Drei, James (Jody) Barco, grandchildren; Jasmine (Jim), David, Hannah, Victoria, Nathaniel, James (Kara), and sister; Shirley Zornow. David will be missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina Ohio 44256. There will also be a Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14th, 2022 at Medina United Methodist Church, 4747 Foote Road, Medina Ohio 44256. Funeral service will follow 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery Medina, Ohio. A celebration of life meal will be at the Medina United Methodist Church following the cemetery ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to: Thomas P.
