David Michael Kavulic, age 76 and longtime Brunswick resident, passed away on December 21, 2024 with his family at his side.  He was born in Cleveland on September 3, 1948 to the late Martin and Dorothy (Stayancho) Kavulic.

David served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and retired from the City of Cleveland Police Department.  He was an avid boater and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy A. (Ghidiu) Kavulic; his daughter Sherry Davis (Eric); son Chris Kavulic (Carrie); grandchildren Michael Davis (Megan), Amanda Merrell (Kevin), and Kylie, Collin and Kali Kavulic; great grandchildren Mason, Berto, Carter and Brody; and his brother Gerry Kavulic (Sue).  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Richard and Thomas Kavulic.

The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am, Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. Burial with police and military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
