David Joseph Kryszan

David J. Kryszan, age 77, passed away on August 30, 2026. He was born in Bay Village, OH to the late Peter and Lillian (nee: Knoila) Kryszan. David was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, entrepreneur, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. A devoted Christian, David loved the Lord with all his heart and lived a life that reflected his faith, kindness, and dedication to others.

David was a proud graduate of Benedictine High School and Cleveland State University, institutions that helped shape the strong values, work ethic, and lifelong commitment to learning that defined his life.

Throughout his life, David enjoyed many passions. He was an accomplished drummer and proudly played in the Cleveland based band, The Botany 6. David’s favorite band “Yes” was no secret, and he could be found (daily) blasting “Roundabout” from the car, shower or garage. He also had a lifelong love of motorcycles and automobiles, particularly his beloved 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. That passion inspired him to establish his own automotive repair business in Medina, Ohio, Medina Muffler which he owned and operated with dedication and integrity for more than 40 years prior to retirement.

Above all, David's greatest joy was his family. He shared an extraordinary 51 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Kathy, who was truly the love of his life and his constant companion. Together they built a family grounded in love, faith, and strong values.

David was a proud and devoted father to his four sons: Dave, Justin, Aaron, and Rob. He was also a loving father-in-law to Christina Kryszan, Molly Kryszan, and Navapat Kryszan. His grandchildren, William, Luke, John, and Maddie, brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. David is also survived by his beloved sister, Linda Mahoney.

David was admired, respected, and deeply loved by all who knew him, especially his family, who will forever cherish his wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support.
