Dennis James Basarab, age 72, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025.

Born in Akron, Ohio, on February 26, 1953, Dennis was the son of the late Alex and Dorothy Basarab. He dedicated 35 years of his career to Do It Best and later worked 10 years at Walmart before retiring.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mairlyn Basarab; his children, Erik Basarab, Michelle Littrell (Basarab), son in law Vaughn Littrell and his youngest son Phillip Basarab; as well as Maryanne Fairclough and their son, his grandson, Jackson Fairclough. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Allen and Carl Szafranski.

Dennis had a lifelong passion for sports, especially soccer, and was proud to cheer on his daughter during her time with the Battling Bees. He loved music, was a talented dancer, and was known for his joyful spirit and positive outlook. A dedicated member of Saint Francis Church and St. Vincent de Paul, he lived his faith through kindness and service to others.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a friend to many.
