Dennis William McComsey, age 81, passed away peacefully in Brunswick, Ohio on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 29, 1943, to the late William and Louise (Grimesey) McComsey.

Dennis had many interests most of which included the presence of beloved family members: he found joy in walks on the beach with his beloved wife, scouting with his sons through the years, restoring cars with all of his children, working in his garden with family nearby, and spending every second he could with his beloved grandchildren. Many Friday nights you would find him working on model railroads with his children and grandchildren.

Family was everything to Dennis; his life lessons of love, devotion, kindness and compassion are what he gifted to everyone by his example. His adoration of his family is only surpassed by theirs of him. And his wonderful sense of humor was always on display. A devoted husband, father, beloved grandfather, and friend to all. Dennis never met a stranger, and all were better for knowing him. He will be greatly missed.

Dennis is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 62 years, Elaine (Szerpicki) McComsey; his 4 loving children, Ken (Grace) McComsey, Kevin (Beth) McComsey, Keith (Andrea) McComsey and Kimberly (Rich) Reichelt; his 9 precious grandchildren, Sara, Katelyn, Christian, Aidan, Matthew, Danny, John Thomas, Andrew and Michael; along with a lifetime of dear friends and colleagues.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise (Grimesey) McComsey and his brother, Thomas McComsey.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E Washington Street, Medina, OH 44256 followed by his interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery,14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, OH 44142.
