Dennis Leslie Rising, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2025. He was born in Medina, Ohio, to Bennie and Dorothy Rising.

Dennis worked as a truck driver over the years and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed a wide variety of activities, especially farming and attending tractor pulls. A true fan of the classics, he never tired of watching his favorite John Wayne movies. He also treasured time spent talking and hanging out with his buddies and, most of all, camping with his family at Mohican State Park.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Thomas) Greene and Dennis James "Jim" Rising; grandchildren, Rhys and Keegan Greene and Maggie and Keylie Rising; and siblings, David, Donna, Dena, and Brenda; and former wife, Christine K. Rising.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to "Hollywood" for his time and friendship to Dennis.

Per Dennis's wishes, there will be no public services. A private family burial will take place at Litchfield Cemetery.

Dennis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
