Diana Dee Duecker affectionately known as ''Dee Dee", age 83 of Chippewa Lake, OH passed away on January 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Dee Dee was born on April 3, 1941, in Cleveland, OH to the late Charles E. Schmitt (Patricia) and Virginia nee Dunneback (Carl) Harris. Dee Dee moved to Chippewa Lake as a child and remained there for the rest of her life. She married Richard Duecker in 1963 and together they raised their three children. She spent her working years in an array of positions in the medical profession. She began as a lab technician at Medina Hospital and in later years transitioned to a medical professional in various physician's offices. Upon retirement, she lovingly helped take care of her grandchildren, as well as helping many in her community. She was kind, loving, selfless and was well known for her nonstop energy. She was an active member of Chippewa Church at the Lake United Methodist and supported it and her community selflessly in many ways over the years. She was always the first to volunteer and step up to assist anyone in need. She was a dynamic force and a pillar of the community. She never met a stranger, and all were better for knowing her. Dee Dee was also a fantastic host and threw unbelievably memorable parties. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend she will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Dee Dee is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Richard Duecker; her daughters, Pam (Teddy) Saffle and Connie LoSchiavo; and her son, Bob (Mindy) Duecker; her 3 grandchildren, Jake (Abby) Saffle, Liza LoSchiavo, and Mike LoSchiavo; her 2 great grandchildren, Weston and Dallas Saffle; her brother, Gary (Chris) Harris; numerous nieces and nephews along with a lifetime of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved grandson, Tyler Saffle; and her brother, Rick Schmitt.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256, A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 12 noon at the Funeral Home followed by interment at Mound Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dee Dee's memory be made to: Chippewa Church at the Lake United Methodist, 7824 Lake Rd, Chippewa Lake, OH 44215.
