Diane Marie McChesney, 64, passed away April 23, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born July 11, 1957 in Youngstown, OH to the late James J. and Florence C. (nee Ruman) Phillips of Butte, Montana.  Diane grew up in Struthers, Ohio, and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School; Baldwin Wallace University, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting; and Case Western Reserve University, with honors, and a Masters of Accountancy.  She was a CPA and worked for Coopers & Lybrand and American Greetings before retiring in 2020 as the Senior Director of Finance from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame having provided over 20 years of dedicated service to the museum.

Diane enjoyed traveling, skiing, reading, interior design, shopping, music, walks in any park, singing while driving her car, puzzles of any type, collecting music memorabilia and military aviation squadron patches.  She recently completed an interior home project in which she designed and selected all the materials, finishes, colors and furnishings for a new living space at home. When not working on the home she enjoyed traveling with her husband to many, many unique places including her favorite destination, Hawaii.  Diane volunteered at Rock Hall functions often working back stage, interacting with many of music industry's biggest names.  When not working a Rock Hall event, she also volunteered at a number of Airshows annually.  Most did not know – but Diane had a passion and love of Colonial Williamsburg – exemplified by her model collection of the buildings of Williamsburg.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 14 years, Brian L. McChesney; brothers James (Joanna) Phillips of Boise, ID and Mike Phillips of Struthers, Ohio; brothers-in-law Shawn (Loretta) McChesney of Avon Lake, Ohio and Todd McChesney of Avon Lake, Ohio; nieces and nephews Nicole (Dan) Hanni,  Jared (Kara Assaley) Phillips, Natalie Phillips, Alexis (Collin) Pope, Coty (Emily) McChesney, Angela McChesney, Emily McChesney and Katherine McChesney;  mother and father-in law Diane J. and William H. McChesney of Avon Lake, Ohio and a lifetime of collected friends.

A private burial will be held at St. Martin's Church Cemetery in Valley City, Ohio.

A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held this summer and will be announced at a later date.
