Dorothy Louise Lavdis, 99, of Warrensville Heights, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Hospice of Western Reserve in Medina. Dorothy was born on December 17, 1925, in Hubbard, Ohio, the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Hardy.

Dorothy was an avid reader. She enjoyed puzzles, and Bible word search. She was also a Cleveland Indians fan. She loved all kinds of food as well; some would have considered her a 'foodie'. Dorothy loved watching golf, listening to music, and Moody Radio. In her younger days, she loved to dance. Her favorite TV shows were Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lavdis; her stepdaughter, Lenora Hausknecht; and siblings, Eugene Hardy, Russel Hardy, Mary Schmidt, Veronica Loushine, Irene Hardy and Carol Schoenle.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Dale Robinson) Simmons, Michelle (Joseph Wolanin) Lavdis, and Dorothy Ann 'Dodie' Lavdis; grandchildren, Bonnie, Becky, James, Sabrina, Sarah, David, Daniel, and Rachel; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 11am – 1 pm at Waite Funeral Home: 765 North Court Street, Medina, OH 44256, with the funeral service at 1 pm.
