Farren
May 16, 1941 – March 12, 2025

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose life revolved around her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She found joy in simple pleasures—playing the slots at the casino, managing youth baseball in Valley City, and being a part of the Red Hat Society. She also cherished her time working in the toy department at Kmart and throwing the best Labor Day parties with her husband. Dorris also worked as a bank teller for more than 20 years before retiring.
In addition to her parents, Dorris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Anthony Farren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald, sister-in-law, June (Leo, deceased), sister-in-law, Dolores (Stanley, deceased), brother-in-law, Richard (Mary Jean, deceased), and brother-in-law, Johnny (Judy, deceased). Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Scott (Christine) Farren and April Saffle; her cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Terra, Anthony, and Christopher; her brothers-in-law, Joseph (Carol), Gary (Claudia), and Robert (Judy); and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will welcome guests from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 21, 2025, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, Ohio.
