Douglas Edward Culp, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Renaissance Retirement Campus in Olmsted Falls, Ohio.

Doug was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Edward and Rita Jayne Culp on July 29, 1943.  His childhood was spent in the Cleveland area, and he graduated from Berea/Midpark High School.  Soon after his high school graduation, Doug served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Bay of Pigs Invasion.  Following his military service, Doug went to work for Ohio Bell Telephone as a Lineman. He spent his entire 47-year career with Ohio Bell/AT&T, as a Facilities Engineer, retiring in 2006.

Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Eileen B. Culp (nee Ryan), his son Jason M. Culp (Debra) and his cherished grandchildren, Garrett Ryan and Ainsley Grace Culp.

Doug was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jennifer A. Fiamella.

Private family services with military honors will be held at Waite Funeral Home in Brunswick.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City, OH.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Doug's memory be made to the Salvation Army.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.WaiteFuneralHome.com
