It is with great sadness that the family of Eddie Ray, age 86, announces his passing. Eddie went home to the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2024, in Wadsworth, Ohio. Eddie Ray was born on May 16, 1937, in Marion, South Carolina to the late Sylvester and Rebecca (Richardson) Ray. Eddie was a kind man with a big heart. He made his family feel special, often giving them loving nicknames. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Eddie is survived by his children, Kathy Kirton, Clarabelle Ray, Wanda Ray, Willie Kirton, Tamira Phillips; his stepsons, Willie Kirton, Michael Thomas, and Devon Phillips; and several grand and great grandchildren.
Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, and siblings, Mary, Ruth, Claramay, and William along with his son, Eddie Ray, Jr. and his daughter, Joanne Worthington.

Funeral services will be held for Eddie Ray on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256.
