Edward A.
Dick
February 10, 1961 – April 2, 2026
Edward A. Dick, age 65, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on April 2, 2026. Born February 10, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, Ed was a man who was universally loved by everyone who knew him. His life was defined by his dedication to the people he loved, and he will be dearly missed.
Ed was a dedicated pressman for Oak Printing, where he took pride in his craft. A mechanically inclined man, he was always willing to lend his knowledge and help others, especially teaching his son skills that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on nature.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Barbara Ann (Cunningham) Dick, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage until her passing in 2023. Edward is survived by his loving children, Edward J. (Diane) Dick, Jeremy (Lacey) Dick, and Laura (Levi) Hale; grandchildren, Edward T. Dick, Autumn Dalton, and Lucas Hale; siblings, Joe (Jan) Dick, Cathy Ross, Patti (Bill) Jennings, Bob (Helen) Dick, Susie (Bill) Berger, Dan Dick, and Tim (Cheryl) Dick; and too many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends to count. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and his parents, Robert and Theresa Dick, brother-in-law, Mike Ross, and nephew Billy Berger.
Known for his big personality and generous spirit, Edward was truly "the life of the party." He loved cheering on the Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams and spent many years coaching his sons in soccer and football and supporting his daughter in swimming and volleyball. He had a passion for people (and his beloved cat Moby), always seeing the good in others, and was known for his huge heart and willingness to give the shirt off his back—literally. He will be remembered as someone who loved deeply, laughed often, and made a lasting impact on everyone he met. He and Barb always put their family first, and their legacy will live on in everyone whose lives they touched.
Ed's family will welcome guests from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Ed will be laid to rest privately at Resurrection Cemetery.
