Edward John Hilkowski

Edward John Hilkowski, 88 years old, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on July 30, 2026. He was born on July 15, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Thaddeus “Ted” and Genevive “Jennie” (Bednarek) Hilkowski.

Edward served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a mobile tech for NCR Cash Registers. He loved to tinker and there weren’t many things he couldn’t fix. He was kind-hearted and loved by everyone who met him.

He is survived by his beloved son Theodore Hilkowski (fiancé Brenda); daughter Vicki; three grandchildren; sister Carol Gubanich; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Hely “Ida” Hilkowski.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. Medina, Ohio. He will be laid to rest with Ida at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio with military honors.
