Elbert Bennett, age 97, was born on June 26, 1926 in Hinton, West Virginia and passed away on August 4, 2023. He is survived by his beloved children Linda Nau (Bill) and Shirley Bennett (Howard Meyerson); cherished grandchildren Benjamin Nau (Tammy), Jeffrey Nau (Claudia), Jeremy Meyerson, and Maxwell Meyerson; great-granddaughter Natalie and dog Skippy.

Elbert is preceded in death by his parents, sister Jean, and the love of his life of 61 years, Lois.

Elbert was a proud Army Veteran, having served active combat in the Korean War. Elbert earned several medals. He was a long-time member of the Strongsville VFW. Elbert greatly enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and woodworking in his free time.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 10AM to 12PM at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212 with services immediately following. Private burial will take place.
