Eleanor Barbara Newcomer, age 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 29, 2024, in Medina, Ohio. She was born on January 12, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Steve and Margaret (Varga) Racz. Eleanor was a graduate of John Hay High School Class of 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed a variety of interests, including bowling, gardening, traveling, and photography. Eleanor was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Most of all she enjoyed being in the company of her family at every opportunity she could. Especially her beloved grandchildren.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Carr, and Kenneth Newcomer; her significant other, Myron Bieber (2017); parents, Steve and Margaret (Varga) Racz; and her brother, Steve (2011).

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jane (Kevin) Rych; her beloved grandsons, Adam Rych and Austin Rych (fiancé, Taylor Smoley); and her stepdaughter, Janet Newcomer.

The family would like to send special thanks to both the Staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve for their kind and compassionate care of Eleanor and the staff at Brookdale South of Medina for their wonderful care over her many years with them.
