Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Eliza F.  McDonald, 85, passed away at her home on May 21, 2023. She was born September 2, 1937, in Red Creek, Kentucky, to the late John L. and Maude (nee Sweeny) Coleman.

Eliza was involved in her church, serving as a Bible school teacher at Medina Church of Christ for many years. She was a successful businesswoman and Certified Purchasing Manager, and she also served as the president of the Certified Purchasing Manager Association. She was a determined, independent, proud woman of strength who loved her family more than anything, and she will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish Eliza's memory are her sons, Mark (Leslie) McDonald and Carl D. McDonald; grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley) McDonald and Jessica McDonald; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Brianna, Brock, and Hazel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 68 years, Carl W. McDonald; and siblings, Tiny, Bessie, Jessie, Bernice, Robert, James, and Bethel.

The family will welcome guests from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, with a service beginning at 12:30 pm. She will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
