Ellen Jane Aukerman, age 94, of Medina, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013. She was born October 2, 1918 in Cleveland to the late Arthur and Lois (Green) Mochel. Ellen worked for the City of Medina Welfare Department where she was a caseworker for 15 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star- United Church of Christ Congregational, Eleanor Circle.

She was the beloved mother of Elizabeth (Kent) Reed and mother-in-law of Danielle Aukerman: grandmother of Jeff (Julie) Reed, Amy (David) Crowell, and Lisa (Daniel) Flaherty; great grandmother of Sydney and Keegan Reed, Kylie Flaherty, and Anna and Carter Reed; sister to Robert (Jo) Mochel, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Allen, son, Karl Aukerman, sister Marjorie Musser, and grandson Brian Reed.

Family will receive friends from 2-4:00 pm, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. An Eastern Star service will be held immediately following at 4:00 pm.

Private family interment will be held at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.
