Eloris Kay
Chase
December 4, 1942 – January 18, 2026
Eloris Kay Chase, age 83, departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born December 4, 1942 to the late John and Eva (Williams) Ping and was number ten of eleven children.
Kay's faith in the Lord ran deep and her love of Jesus was known to all. She was a kind, generous, and thoughtful woman who genuinely believed in the good of others. Kay fiercely loved her family and relished any event that brought everyone together.
Kay never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went. She was proof that friendship was one of the cornerstones of a life well lived.
Kay had several decades long friendships and these women were there for each other through all of life's joys and sorrows, births and deaths, and everything in between.
Though Kay enjoyed a good book and a cup of tea, she was always on the go. She enjoyed weekly bingo, walking (around Medina and in nature), attending church, and going on adventures with her friends and family.
Kay is survived by her three sons: David (Denise), Dennis, and Daniel. She was the proud grandmother to four grandchildren: JoAnna Spicer (Norm), Caleb, Victoria, and Ben (Nikki). Kay cherished the time spent with her great granddaughter, Andromeda, and great grandson, Samuel. She also leaves behind three of her beloved siblings: Eva Jeannette Haskins, Eldora Clara Allen, and Earl Thomas Ping.
She is preceded in death by her beloved sisters: Edna Mae Ping, Edith Faye Huppert, Eleanor Jean Bell, Elneta June Niccum, and Elwanna April Ping; and dear brothers: Edward James Ping and Ernest Lee Ping.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life for Kay in April. Invitations will be sent out to family and friends providing more details.
