Everett Eugene
Logue
November 10, 1950 – June 7, 2025
Everett Logue passed away on June 7, 2025 after a battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Claire Bourguet, two sons, Brian (Breanne) of Hinckley, OH and Sean (Amber) of Grandview Hts., OH, and 5 grandchildren (Ethan, Connor, Genevieve, Theodora, and Andrew), sister Sharon Logue of Chapel Hill, NC and best dog Duke.
Everett was born in 1950 in Jacksonville, Fl. He grew up in Florida and North Carolina. In 1986, the family moved to Stow, OH and in 2021 they moved to Hinckley, OH to live with children and grandchildren. Everett was a graduate of Wake Forest University and went on to obtain a PhD in public health specializing in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina.
Everett was a committed outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast. He attended tai chi classes and exercised daily. He rode his bicycle regularly including participating in "century" rides and weeklong camping bicycle rides. He loved to backpack and camp and was happy to be outdoors in all kinds of weather. He introduced his family to camping, cycling, and taught his sons the value of quiet strength through hard work, fixing things yourself and putting others first. The best family vacations were spent camping and hiking in national parks around the US and Canada. Everett was happy that he raised another generation of outdoorsmen.
Everett was a liberal intellectual. He read widely and followed local and national events. He was employed at Summa Health System as the research director in the Family Medicine department where he helped to educate many resident physicians.
Everett loved living in Northeast Ohio in particular because of the many wonderful parks in the local area. In place of flowers, please make donations to the Conservancy for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
