Franklin H. Clemmer, 88, passed away September 26, 2025.

He was born on September 3, 1937 to Frederick and Mary (Bailey) Clemmer.

He is survived by his children, Ingo Clemmer and Christine "Tina" (Dana) Moore; grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan Thoms) Blakeway, Zachary Moore and Jennifer Shipman; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Freitag.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 54 years, Gisela. He was one of eight siblings, all of whom preceded him in death. He was particularly close to his youngest brother, Tom, and his youngest sister, Flo.

Franklin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. At an early age, he learned how to fly an airplane. He loved boating and was the first signing member of the Eastlake Yacht Club. Franklin enjoyed cars and attending car shows with his dog as his sidekick. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, with a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m.
