Frederick Leon Bowling, 75 of Brook Park, Ohio passed away on April 15, 2013 in Middleburg Heights. He was born on May 20, 1937 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Everett and Elva (nee Burke) Bowling. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Tuthill in Berea as a CAD Draftsman. Fred was an avid UK basketball fan and enjoyed working on computers. He will be missed by his beloved wife Barbara (nee Brady) of 48 years; loving children Kimberly (Charles) Stewart of Brook Park, Kelly (Christopher J.) DuRell of West Salem, and Karen (Roger) Bowling of Parma; 10 cherished grandchildren, Jay Jr., Brady, Karliann, Renee, Christopher L., Joshua, John, Kara, Michael, and Glenn; two adored great-grandchildren; brother Gary 'Pete' (Fern) Bowling and nephews Terry and Jimmy Bowling. He is preceded in death by his daughter Gina Barker and sisters Martha and Elizabeth. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 PM at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd. Brunswick, OH 44212. Services will be on Friday at 9 AM. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Contributions may be made to the family in Leon's name.
