Frederick C. Wallace, age 81, of Medina, Ohio passed away on April 24, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1943, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Frederick C. Wallace, Sr. of Kalamazoo, MI and Virginia R. Seber (Lewellen) Wallace of Greensburg, PA.
Fred proudly served his country as a member of the United States Armed Forces. He was the past president of the Medina Boosters Club. Fred loved to golf and was a member of many golf leagues at Ridgetop Golf Club where he enjoyed many rounds with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Golf. As his kids were growing up, Fred was the first to be involved and support all of their sports and activities. His love for his family was front and center always putting them first and bringing laughter and humor into all their lives. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and dear friend; he was well loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 63 years, Sharie A. (Joseph) Wallace; his children, Mark S. (Nora) Wallace of Pawcatuck, CT, Brian K. Wallace of New Smyrna, Fl, and Lisa Wallace Holmes (Mike Cote) of Ledyard, CT; his 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Wagner, Seamus Wallace, Liam Wallace, and Charlene Smith; 3 great grandchildren, Harper, Jaimison, Sawyer; his brothers, Carl (Jeannie) Wallace of Seymour, TN, and Charles Wallace of Jacksonville, Fl; and his sister, Alice (Dennis) Lalonde of Portage, MI; along with many dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm and again on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 12 to 4 pm at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio. Fred's funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by his burial with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
