Garry Robertson, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2022 surrounded by family. Garry was born on October 10, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Marion and Betty Robertson.
Garry loved his family fiercely. He was a believer in magic and building things like houses with his father, Christmas displays, and special moments for those he loved. He loved telling stories and connecting with those around him. He had a green thumb and tried to always make things beautiful. Garry enjoyed traveling, long drives, and holding hands with his girls.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon (Miller) Robertson and his three daughters Katie (Michelle) Robertson, Amy (Jason) Atkinson, and Erin (AJ) Macklin as well as his two beautiful granddaughters who he adored beyond measure, Paige and Lia Macklin, and his beloved dog Tucker. Garry is also survived by many extended and adopted family members who he considered his own.
Garry is preceded in death by his great grandparents Red Mommy and Red Daddy Robertson, Parents Marion and Betty Robertson, his in-laws Pete and Ona Miller, and his dog Woodrow.
Viewing hours will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. in Medina followed by a funeral service on Monday, July 11, 2022 at noon. Garry wanted us to celebrate his life, so we will be having a party later this summer where we can tell stories, play his favorite music, and share in the celebration of who he was to all of us.
