George H. Goodman, age 77, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022. He was born February 15, 1945, to George and Rosemary (nee Williams) Goodman in Portsmouth, Ohio. George served his country in the U.S. Navy and belonged to the Masonic Lodge #385 in Wadsworth, Ohio.  He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berea. As he enjoyed riding motorcycles, he was also a member of the Widow Sons Motorcycle Group. George's career spanned many years as an OTR Truck Driver, and at times, calling Cheryl to be ready to go riding when he arrived back home. He enjoyed fishing and hunting but above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Left to celebrate George's life is his beloved wife of 50 years, Cheryl; his loving children, Richard (Stephanie) Wightman, Darrell Goodman, Raymond Goodman and Charlotte (Rick) Dryer; his cherished grandchildren, Brandon Goodman, Kayla Goodman, Dylan Goodman, Jerry Wightman, Marlena Wightman, Liam Goodman and Grayson Goodman; his siblings, Lindsay (Barbie) Goodman and Deb (Bob) Michaels; and many extended family and friends. George is preceded in death by his sister, Linda.

George will be laid to rest, on a date yet to be determined, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family on George's guestbook at www.WaiteFuneralHome.com .
