George Thomas Siman

George Thomas Siman, 97 years old, passed away on Sept 19, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1929 in Brunswick, Ohio to the late John and Elsie (Janota) Siman.

George served his country as staff sergeant in the Air Force as a plane mechanic.

Upon leaving the military, he built and installed cabinets while attending Akron University to study computer science. His schooling led him to employment at NASA Lewis Research Center where he later retired.

During his free time, George built custom homes along with his loving wife Doris and later, his son. Together they built homes for their family and friends. Their building reputation also led to the construction of many custom homes. He built their final home at age 73.

He is survived by his loving children Linda Metheney (Jack), Dale Siman (Maureen) and Judy Siman; four grandchildren Jeremy, Nicole (Chris), Madison (Chris) and Olivia; great grandson Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Doris R. (Ensign) Siman; his parents; his brothers Jimmy, John and Donald; his sisters Marlene Masmaker, Dolores Matchett and Jean Clifford.

Private services will be held with burial and military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
