Gilbert "Gib" Taylor age 81, peacefully entered Heaven on October 15, 2019. He was born in Valley City, Ohio on December 15, 1937 to the late Glenn and Gladys (Puls) Taylor and was a lifelong resident of Medina County. Gib is survived by his beloved wife, Naomi (Haring) whom he married on June 6, 1959. Gib was the loving father of son, Jeffrey (Angela) Taylor of Roanoke, VA; daughters, Janice Taylor of Columbus, OH and Karen (Paul) Bayus of Westfield Center, OH; grandchildren, Tye Taylor of Oklahoma, Garrett Bayus of Wadsworth, OH, Abby Bayus of Columbus, OH. He is survived by one brother, Galen (Mildred) Taylor of California; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gib graduated from Medina High School and was proud to have served for eight years in the United States Air Force & Ohio Air National Guard. He retired from Chick Master Incubator Co., working in Research & Development where he contributed many innovations to poultry incubators. Gib also traveled extensively around the world helping to improve poultry production.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medina for over 40 years. Gib enjoyed his family, woodworking, wine making, church work, and volunteering. He was a team leader making Braille Bibles for Lutheran Braille Workers for many years. He also drove a truck for Feeding Medina County.

His family will receive friends at Waite & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. , Monday, October 21, 2019 and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256, with Pastor Daniel Haberkost officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
